BJP's RP Singh says opposition joins student protests only in select states

BJP national spokesperson RP Singh criticised the Indian National Congress, saying the opposition now realises that elections cannot be won without appealing to Hindu voters. He rebuked Congress leader Promod Tiwari for questioning the existence of Lord Ram and accused opposition parties of selective involvement in student protests.

Singh claimed that the opposition and the CJP have taken part in student demonstrations only in a few states such as Jharkhand, where paper‑leak protests have occurred, while they stay away from similar movements in Karnataka, Telangana, Punjab and other regions. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for forgiving students protesting at Jantar Mantar and highlighted a youth startup, SkyRoot, that recently launched a private rocket.

The spokesperson also referenced a recent terrorist attack in Kulgam, Jammu & Kashmir, noting comments by former chief minister Farooq Abdullah and stressing that political rhetoric should not be used to exploit such incidents.
