(You know who)”, prompting West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to reply “No Prizes for Guessing, I guess”. Neither named anyone, but both hinted at concerns over illegal immigration from Bangladesh and its demographic impact in Assam and Bengal.

Following the BJP's landslide win in West Bengal, the party set up a three‑member panel – MP Deboshree Choudhary, MLA Dr. Indranil Khan and office‑bearer Amitabha Roy – to screen video footage and separate genuine BJP cadres from TMC members who allegedly smeared themselves with saffron colour and impersonated BJP workers during post‑poll violence. The party warned it would pursue legal action against those “fake saffron” entrants and pledged to keep the organization free of “corrupt” or “violent” turn‑coats.
