Björk performs DJ set at Iceland solar eclipse rave

Icelandic artist Björk performed a DJ set at the ‘Echolalia’ rave in Hafnarfjörður to celebrate a total solar eclipse on August 12. The event, held at the Víðistaðatún sculpture park, drew international attendees to witness the celestial phenomenon.

Björk made a notable appearance wearing a custom haute couture outfit designed by Robert Wun, consisting of nearly 700 white balloons of varying sizes. The ephemeral piece was assembled by British balloon specialists in collaboration with Björk’s stylist, Edda Guðmundsdóttir. During the performance, Björk played a remix of Rosalía’s ‘Berghain’ and shared the stage with artists including Arca, Ronja, and Sideproject.

The event combined music and performance art, with the artist interacting with the crowd through dance and music as the moon obscured the sun.
