Björk to release live album Björk Orkestral worldwide

Musician Björk is set to release the live album ‘Björk Orkestral With the Hamrahlíð Choir’ worldwide on November 27, 2026. The release will be available in physical formats including LP, CD, DVD, and Blu-ray via One Little Independent Records.

The recording captures a 2021 performance at the Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík, featuring the 50-member Hamrahlíð Choir. The musical arrangement blends vocal performances with electronic sounds and organ, focusing heavily on reinterpreted tracks from her 2004 album ‘Medúlla’.

Björk noted that the pandemic provided the necessary time to undergo extensive rehearsals to refine the balance between natural choral sounds and technology. The project features musical contributions from Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir and Bergur Þórisson.
