BKMT holds 45th anniversary and 10th Muktamar in Jakarta

Thousands of members and leaders from the Badan Kontak Majelis Taklim (BKMT) gathered in Jakarta for the organization’s 45th anniversary and the 10th Muktamar. The event, held at the Indonesia Arena, served as a national forum for regional branches to strengthen networks and discuss the evolving role of Majelis Taklim in society.

Regional representatives, including leaders from Toraja Utara and Aceh Timur, participated in the national assembly. The BKMT Toraja Utara delegation highlighted the organization’s expansion beyond religious study groups into social empowerment, including hospital services, funeral assistance, and the development of child-friendly mosques. Similarly, the Aceh Timur delegation utilized the forum to deepen the understanding of the organization’s functions and to build connections with members from across Indonesia.
