Békéscsaba begins autumn landscaping and flower planting
Békéscsaba has launched its autumn landscaping program, focusing on the renewal of approximately 1,300 square meters of flower beds across the city. The initiative includes planting 26,000 biennial plants, such as pansies and daisies, along with 3,000 bulbous plants like daffodils and tulips.
Work is currently underway in Kossuth, Szabadság, and Szent István squares, as well as Petőfi Park. Future planting phases will extend to the Lencsési residential area, Jamin, and other parts of the city center, with the program expected to conclude by early November.
In addition to floral displays, municipal teams are managing approximately 1.6 million square meters of green space. Ongoing tasks include leaf collection, tree pruning, and shrub maintenance. Due to persistent lack of rainfall, the city is utilizing irrigation systems in high-traffic areas to ensure plant health.
