Béla Fleck announces new live album and upcoming performance

Banjo player Béla Fleck is releasing ‘Live Heart: My Bluegrass Heart at the Ryman’ on October 16. The live album documents a January 2022 concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, featuring a wide array of musicians including Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, and Jerry Douglas. The performance occurred despite an East Coast blizzard that prevented Chris Thile from attending.

The project follows Fleck’s Grammy Award-winning album ‘My Bluegrass Heart,’ which serves as the third chapter in a bluegrass trilogy. Fleck is also scheduled to perform the ‘My Bluegrass Heart’ project at the University of Georgia’s Hodgson Concert Hall on September 18 as part of the UGA Presents season.
