Black Bear signs directors Sandra Wollner and Stephanie Ahn

Black Bear’s management division has signed rising directors Sandra Wollner and Stephanie Ahn.

Wollner, an Austrian filmmaker based in Berlin, recently saw her film ‘Everytime’ win the top honor in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. The film, which explores themes of grief and memory through a surrealist lens, is currently screening at the Sarajevo Film Festival and is scheduled for a U.S. release on September 25, 2026.

Stephanie Ahn, a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, signed following the success of her directorial debut, ‘Bedford Park’. The film received the Special Jury Prize for Debut Feature Film at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and has been acquired by Sony Pictures Classics for worldwide distribution. ‘Bedford Park’ is set for a U.S. release on September 22, 2026.
