Bar hosts 9th International Children's Athletics Competition

The city of Bar, Montenegro, marked the European Week of Sport with various athletic events designed to promote physical activity and inclusion across all generations.

A central highlight was the 9th International Children's Athletics Competition held at the Topolica Sports and Recreation Center. Organized by AK Sanja, the event featured over 230 children born between 2015 and 2020 competing in disciplines such as 50m hurdles, agility courses, and standing long jump. AK Sanja led the medal standings with 27 medals, followed by AK Leotar with 26 and AK Dionis with 17.

Other activities celebrating the European Week of Sport included competitions for sports societies, associations for persons with disabilities, and local citizens. Events featured table tennis, badminton, chess, and basketball shooting to encourage healthy lifestyles and community engagement.
