Black Cat Syndicate expands Trojan gold footprint in Western Australia
Black Cat Syndicate Limited has announced successful results from a 56-hole drilling program at its Trojan gold deposit, part of the Kal East Gold Operation in Western Australia. The program, which involved 6,804 meters of reverse-circulation drilling, successfully intersected gold mineralisation beyond the current resource boundaries.
In the northern section, the drilling tested down-dip extensions of steeply dipping lodes, yielding high-grade results such as 3m at 6.88g/t gold and 13m at 1.79g/t gold. In the southeastern area, the program expanded the shallow, flat-lying oxide mineralised system, with results including 11m at 1.13g/t gold.
Acting Managing Director Chris Stone stated that the results highlight the growth potential of the Trojan deposit. The company plans to conduct further extensional drilling on the shallow oxide mineralisation, which is targeted for initial mining development, and infill drilling to upgrade the Inferred Resource to Indicated status to support life-of-mine planning.
