Black Eyed Peas perform at Rock in Rio and tribute Sérgio Mendes

The Black Eyed Peas performed at the Rock in Rio 2026 festival in Brazil, delivering a set of hits under rainy conditions. The group, currently consisting of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo, included J. Rey Soul on vocals.

A significant highlight of the performance was a tribute to the late Brazilian musician Sérgio Mendes, a personal friend of will.i.am. The group performed the classic “Mas que Nada” to honor his legacy.

Following the event, the band expressed their affection for the Brazilian audience via social media, stating, “Rock in Rio, our love comes from a long time ago. There are so many moments that we will keep in our hearts forever. Thank you for all the affection!”
