Black Forest architecture route highlights regional design

The Bauwerk Schwarzwald association, in collaboration with Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH (STG), has initiated an architectural route in the Black Forest. This route highlights regional construction that blends historical styles and materials with modern design.

Featured locations include the Halde on Schauinsland in Oberried-Hofsgrund, which utilizes wood and traditional shingle elements to integrate with the landscape at 1,147 meters. Another notable site is the FRIZ collection in Gundelfingen, where a protected 1843 barn has been restored into seven design-focused holiday apartments.
