Black Forest Labs releases FLUX 3 Image Klein AI model

Black Forest Labs has released FLUX 3 Image Klein, a compact version of its FLUX 3 Image generator designed for local deployment. Featuring 5.6 billion parameters, the model supports native 4K resolution and advanced text rendering capabilities, including high-precision Japanese character depiction.

The release includes two primary versions: a Base model for deep generation and community fine-tuning, and a Distilled version optimized for speed. On consumer-grade hardware like an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, the distilled version can generate a 1024x1024 pixel image in approximately 8.9 seconds.

Key technical features include bounding box layout control, which allows users to specify the exact placement of elements within a scene, and pixel-perfect editing to modify specific objects without altering the rest of the image. The model weights are available for download on Hugging Face, and the system is natively supported by ComfyUI.
