Spain expects 124,300 Black Friday jobs, up 5.3%

The upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaigns are projected to generate approximately 124,300 new jobs in Spain, representing a 5.3% increase compared to the previous year, according to forecasts from Randstad.

The logistics and transport sector is expected to drive the majority of this growth, accounting for 63.7% of total hiring with roughly 79,170 contracts. The retail sector will represent the remaining 36.3%, with approximately 45,130 hires, an 8.5% increase over the last year.

Regional distribution shows that Madrid, Catalonia, and Andalusia will concentrate more than half of the total job opportunities. Other notable increases are expected in Cantabria, La Rioja, and Asturias. In contrast, Castilla-La Mancha is projected to see a slight decrease of 0.2% in hiring. Most demand will focus on logistics roles such as packers, forklift operators, and warehouse workers, alongside customer service staff to support e-commerce.
