Black Hawk helicopter narrowly avoids fireworks during Seattle flyover

During a pregame ceremony at Lumen Field in Seattle, a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter narrowly avoided being struck by fireworks. The incident occurred on Monday night during a flyover preceding the NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears.

A formation of four UH-60M Black Hawks from the U.S. Army’s 2-158th Assault Helicopter Battalion was performing a diamond formation flyover as part of a military tribute. While the first three aircraft cleared the area, the fourth helicopter remained positioned above the stadium as blue and red fireworks were launched from the arena, passing very close to the aircraft.

Despite the close proximity of the pyrotechnics, no damage to the helicopter was reported, and the aircraft continued its flight. The incident, witnessed by approximately 70,000 spectators, has raised questions regarding the coordination between stadium organizers and military flight crews.
