Black History Month 2026 observed by UK organizations

Various UK-based organizations are marking Black History Month 2026 by celebrating the achievements and cultural heritage of Black communities while emphasizing the importance of inclusion and equality.

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service announced its participation in the Black History Month Art, Culture & Business Exhibition at Middleton Hall in Central Milton Keynes on October 23 and 24, 2026. The service aims to engage with local communities regarding fire safety and career opportunities while promoting a diverse workforce.

Refuge, a support organization, is utilizing the month to reflect on anti-racist and intersectional approaches to service. Staff members highlighted the importance of providing culturally competent support to Black women, children, and families, noting that while the month provides a dedicated moment for reflection, the commitment to celebrating Black excellence and identity remains a year-round priority.
