Black Marlin ferry set to arrive in Nueva Palmira, Uruguay on Sept 12

The Black Marlin vessel is transporting the new 100% electric ferry China Zorrilla, built by Incat in Tasmania, for Buquebus. After loading in Australia, the ship will cross the Indian Ocean, round the southern tip of Africa and enter the South Atlantic en route to South America. Real‑time AIS data shows the vessel is still in port in Tasmania, but the projected ETA at the terminal in Nueva Palmira, Uruguay is 18:00 on 12 September. The long‑range voyage includes scheduled technical stops for fuel, provisions and crew changes. Arrival time may be adjusted as the ship approaches the Río de la Plata, depending on Atlantic weather, wind conditions and port pilot coordination.
