Black Mirror season 8 enters production at Netflix

Netflix has officially confirmed that the eighth season of the dystopian anthology series Black Mirror is in production. Filming reportedly began during the summer of 2026 in the United Kingdom, with some reports identifying a coastal town in England as a filming location.

Series creator Charlie Brooker returns as writer and executive producer, working alongside Bisha K. Ali. Other executive producers include Jessica Rhoades, Annabel Jones, and Louise Sutton, with Mark Kinsella serving as co-executive producer. Brooker has expressed his intention for the new season to be “more Black Mirror than ever.”

While production is underway, Netflix has not yet announced an official release date, cast members, or specific plot details. The series, which originally debuted on Channel 4 in 2011 before moving to Netflix, continues to explore the dark intersections of technology and human behavior through standalone stories.
