Black Sea hotels offer up to 30% discounts for September season
Hoteliers along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are offering significant discounts for the September tourism season. As the peak summer period ends, prices are decreasing to attract travelers seeking a calmer atmosphere.
According to Pavlin Kosev, chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Resort Hotels (VARH), discounts typically range between 10% and 20%, sometimes reaching 25% when including additional services or special offers such as ‘pay for three nights, get four’. Some hotels report that prices from September 1st are already 15% lower than during the peak season, with reductions reaching up to 30% after mid-September.
Hotel management notes that the demographic shifts during the month; families often visit before the school year begins, while couples tend to prefer the quieter environment in the latter half of the month. Beyond domestic tourists, there is notable interest from international visitors, including travelers from Romania, Poland, and Scandinavia.
