Black Sherif releases new EP ‘Sun Sherif’

Ghanaian musician Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, known professionally as Black Sherif, has released his new EP titled ‘Sun Sherif’. The project marks a thematic shift from his previous works, such as ‘The Villain I Never Was’ and ‘Iron Boy’, moving away from themes of existential dread toward a more hopeful and luminous tone.

In the new EP, Black Sherif explores personal growth, emotional release, and newfound peace. The tracks include “Expresso”, which reflects on his professional journey, and “Forever”, a collaboration with Ghanaian artist AratheJay. Other songs, such as “Run Around” and “Love Again”, delve into themes of romance and emotional vulnerability.

Ahead of the release, the award-winning artist encouraged fans to engage deeply with the music, urging them to “soak in the lyrics and be present” to fully experience the storytelling within the project.
