Black Sherif releases reflective new EP ‘Sun Sherif’

Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has released a new six-track EP titled ‘Sun Sherif’. Describing the project as a “deconstruction” of his existing artistic foundations, the artist stated that the work is not an attempt at reinvention or a genre shift, but rather an examination of the building blocks that define his current identity.

The EP is characterized by an intimate, reflective tone, conceptually centered around the setting of a bedroom to capture solitude and quiet creativity. The project features collaborations with Ghanaian Afrobeats artist AratheJay and the Trinidad and Tobago duo Full Blown.

Black Sherif noted that the creative process for the EP was driven by a need to maintain personal excitement for music-making, often producing large volumes of demos during intense creative periods.
