Black Spikes releases new concept album ‘Ydos’

Lithuanian avant-garde and progressive metal band Black Spikes has released their second studio album, titled ‘Ydos’. This release marks the band’s first album through Napalm Records.

‘Ydos’ is a ten-track concept album described as a dark tale exploring human vices. The music blends modern progressive metal with electronic elements, incorporating influences from rap and trap. The lyrical content, performed in Lithuanian, explores various themes including lies, excessive curiosity, greed, revenge, apathy, and pride.

Specific tracks include ‘PASAKA’, which deals with the power of stories, and ‘MOTINA’, which addresses the birth of human vices. The album concludes with the single ‘DULKĖS’, a track that reflects on the brevity of human life and what remains after death.
