Black TV characters see calls for major comebacks

Following the Netflix reboot of ‘A Different World’, there is significant interest in the potential return of the character Denise Huxtable, originally played by Lisa Bonet. While the first season of the reboot featured series regulars Dawnn Lewis, Darryl M. Bell, Jasmine Guy, and Kadeem Hardison, the cliffhanger ending has fueled speculation regarding Bonet’s involvement.

The discussion extends to other iconic Black television characters that fans desire to see return to the screen through reboots, limited specials, or crossover episodes, such as Olivia Pope from ‘Scandal’.
