BlackBerry reports rising Q2 profits and raises full-year outlook
BlackBerry Limited reported a significant increase in second-quarter financial results, with net income rising to $33.9 million compared to $13.3 million in the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter grew by 26 percent to $163.3 million.
The company’s QNX operating system, which provides software platforms for the automotive industry, saw revenue increase by 27 percent to $80.3 million. Additionally, BlackBerry secured its largest historical design win with Alloy Kore, which is expected to add over $100 million to its royalty backlog.
Following these results, BlackBerry raised its full-year fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to a range of $616 million to $636 million, up from the previous estimate of $594 million to $621 million. The company also increased its projected adjusted earnings per share to between $0.19 and $0.22.
