Blackburn Rovers eliminated from Carabao Cup after loss to Sheffield United

Blackburn Rovers were eliminated from the Carabao Cup following a 1-2 home defeat against Sheffield United on August 25.

Midfielder Ryoya Morishita provided a notable assist in the 55th minute, using a heel pass to set up Oludayo Afolayan for an equalizer. This marked Morishita's second assist in official competitions this season. However, Sheffield United secured the win with a goal from Romel Donovan in the 81st minute.

In addition to the loss, Blackburn suffered a setback with striker Yuki Ohashi, who was forced to leave the pitch in the 9th minute due to a suspected left hamstring injury. The club's management expressed hope that the injury is not severe.
