Blackmagic Design releases DaVinci Resolve and Fusion Studio 21.1.2

Blackmagic Design has released version 21.1.2 for DaVinci Resolve and Fusion Studio, introducing significant performance enhancements and expanded automation capabilities.

In DaVinci Resolve, the IntelliSearch feature reportedly sees up to a 14-fold increase in analysis speed on Apple M6 systems running macOS 27. Intel graphics platforms also benefit from faster IntelliSearch, multicam SmartSwitch, and other AI-driven operations. The update also improves OGraf playback speeds by up to four times within the Edit and Fusion pages. Additionally, Linux users now have support for OGraf and Lottie graphics, facilitating better cross-platform motion graphics workflows.

For Fusion Studio, the update focuses on OGraf improvements, including responsive templates that adapt to timeline aspect ratios and enhanced template controls. The release also addresses various technical issues involving Lua scripts, memory management, and 3D mapping. Furthermore, the Studio scripting API has expanded to allow for more complex timeline operations, such as trimming clips, removing silence, and managing grading parameters.
