Blackmagic Design updates URSA Cine camera software
Blackmagic Design has released new software updates for its URSA Cine camera lineup, introducing enhanced live production capabilities and operational improvements.
The 10.3 update for the Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF adds SMPTE-2110 video support, allowing the device to function as a live studio camera via a 10G Ethernet connector. This update also introduces a new generation 6 color science for improved skin tone accuracy, dual LUT functionality, and a built-in color corrector based on DaVinci Resolve. Users can perform live color correction using traditional controls or DaVinci Resolve control panels.
Additionally, the 10.2.3 update for the Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 focuses on quality-of-life enhancements. Key features include a ‘Quiet Record’ function that allows for lower fan speeds during recording to reduce operational noise, improved camera startup performance, and various manufacturing improvements.
