Blackpill Lido reopens in Swansea after water quality closure

Blackpill Lido in Swansea has reopened following a five-day closure caused by water quality issues. Swansea Council announced the reopening on Wednesday, stating that the pool and local businesses are ready to welcome visitors back after the necessary fixes were implemented.

The lido has faced a difficult season, having opened late on 14 July following the theft of replacement sprinklers in May. Previous interruptions included a period where the pool had to be drained due to issues with specialist flooring. The facility operates daily from 9am to 5pm until the end of September and offers free access without the need for booking.
