BLACKPINK receives Jade Crown Order of Cultural Merit

The members of BLACKPINK—Rosé, Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie—have become the first K-pop girl group to receive the Jade Crown Order of Cultural Merit. The honor was presented during the 2026 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards held at the National Theater of Korea in Seoul.

Due to tight individual overseas schedules, the four members were unable to attend the ceremony in person. They instead shared pre-recorded video messages to express their gratitude to their fans and supporters.

Other notable recipients at the ceremony included broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk, who received the Jade Crown Order, and the late singer Shin Hae-chul, who was posthumously awarded the Silver Crown Order of Cultural Merit. Additional honors, including Presidential Commendations, were awarded to figures such as Super Junior and actor So Ji-sub.
