Blackpool Illuminations officially switched on by Paddy McGuinness

Comedian and presenter Paddy McGuinness officially switched on the 2026 Blackpool Illuminations, marking the start of the seasonal light display. The event took place at a 25,000-capacity arena on the Tower Festival Headland.

Performances by Lucy Spraggan, The Feeling, and Five preceded the illumination of six miles of light installations along the Blackpool Promenade.
