BlackRock adds AI research associate and London equities portfolio manager

BlackRock's Investment Institute is expanding its AI capabilities by hiring a Research Associate who will design and implement AI‑first workflows, agentic systems, and large‑language‑model tools to automate research, forecasting and content production across the institute.

The firm is also recruiting an Associate Core Portfolio Manager for its Fundamental Equity team in London. The role supports the Emerging Markets and Frontiers group, handling equity, derivative and FX orders, monitoring fund performance, and improving investment processes with tools such as Python, SQL and AI agents. Both positions emphasize hybrid work models, employee benefits and the use of advanced technology to boost productivity.

Applicants are expected to have strong finance or technology backgrounds, experience with data pipelines, and a willingness to apply emerging AI solutions within BlackRock's global investment platform.
