Franklin Templeton registers Bitcoin dividend ETFs and expands XRP Ledger fund

Franklin Templeton has filed to register two new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Nasdaq: the Franklin U.S. Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF and the Franklin U.S. Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF. These funds are designed to reinvest stock dividends into Bitcoin, starting with a 95% allocation to equities and 5% to Bitcoin. The registration is set to become effective on October 27, though a specific trading date has not been announced.

Separately, the asset manager has significantly expanded its presence on the XRP Ledger. Recent on-chain data shows that approximately $150 million in new subscriptions were added to its tokenized money market fund, sgBENJI. This influx has caused the number of sgBENJI shares on the network to increase from roughly 48 million to nearly 193 million, bringing the total value of the position to between $193 million and $200 million. The new shares are held in a single wallet controlled by the issuer's authorized signers.
