BlackRock and Germany linked to proposed Ukraine reconstruction plan

Reports indicate a potential four-point plan regarding the conflict in Ukraine involving international stakeholders. According to the Washington Post, discussions held between associates of Donald Trump, Ukrainian negotiators, and representatives from Berlin, Paris, and London have centered on several key pillars.

One significant component involves the reconstruction of Ukraine, which may be organized by the asset management firm BlackRock. Under this proposed model, the financial burden for reconstruction—estimated by the World Bank to exceed $500 billion—would fall largely on Germany as a primary European donor.

Other elements of the discussed plan include a ceasefire along current frontlines, with Russia retaining occupied territories, and security guarantees for Kyiv similar to NATO’s Article 5. Additionally, the proposal suggests a pipeline for Russian oil and gas to Europe, with profits to be shared between Moscow and Kyiv.
