BlackRock and KKR eye investment opportunities in Vietnam
Major international investment firms are expressing significant interest in Vietnam's growing market. During a recent seminar organized by VinaCapital and the US-China Economic and Business Council (CEO), representatives from BlackRock, which manages over $15 trillion in assets, noted that Vietnam is attracting substantial attention from global investors.
Other industry leaders, including the President of the KKR Global Institute, highlighted that the current global geopolitical landscape provides opportunities for Vietnam to strengthen its position within regional and international value chains. KKR has already invested more than $2.5 billion in the country since 2011 and sees further potential for expansion.
Discussions also focused on the potential for Vietnam to develop into an international financial center. VinaCapital leadership noted that the FTSE Russell upgrade of Vietnam's stock market serves as a critical milestone for the deeper development of its capital markets.
