BlackRock attracts fresh institutional investments and launches Bitcoin ETF products
Institutional investors added new stakes in BlackRock during the fourth quarter. CFO Capital Management bought 1,369 shares worth about $1.47 million, making BlackRock its 23rd largest holding. Camient Family Office purchased 5,009 shares valued at roughly $5.36 million. Additional firms such as Evolution Wealth Management, Birchbrook Inc., LFA Lugano Financial Advisors, Basepoint Wealth and Swiss RE acquired smaller positions ranging from $30,000 to $33,000.
BlackRock expanded its digital‑asset lineup, unveiling an iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF and filing for a covered‑call Bitcoin ETF targeted at income‑seeking investors. The company also announced cash distributions for its Canadian iShares ETFs.
Insider activity saw CEO Laurence Fink sell 33,900 shares for about $35.6 million (a 12.8% cut) and President Robert Kapitos sell 8,739 shares for about $9.2 million (a 4% cut). Roughly 92% of BlackRock’s shares are held by insiders and 80.7% by institutional investors.
