BlackRock forecasts AI‑driven market boost as S&P 500 surges, opens senior legal and quant roles

BlackRock Investment Institute analysts — Jean Boivin, Wei Li, Vivek Paul and Beata Harasim — said markets are increasingly pricing in a growth surge driven by artificial intelligence. The S&P 500 rose about 2 % last week, delivering its strongest quarterly performance in six years. They noted that the upcoming Fed meeting minutes could reveal whether policymakers have adopted a less restrictive tone than suggested by June’s dot‑plot.

Meanwhile, BlackRock announced two senior openings. It is hiring a Vice President for Digital Enterprise Legal (Data Architecture) to provide strategic legal advice on complex data, index and technology partnerships, primarily focused on the Americas but operating globally. The firm also posted a Quant Research Analyst role in its Systematic Active Equity group in San Francisco, requiring machine‑learning, Python and large‑scale data‑processing skills, with a salary range of $111,625‑$132,500 plus bonuses.
