BlackRock hires senior digital‑asset executive and Java engineer in New York

BlackRock posted a senior Vice President position for its Digital Asset Lab in New York City. The role will lead the firm’s tokenization and blockchain strategy, integrate new protocols into the Aladdin platform and develop new applications, requiring deep expertise in engineering, finance, decentralized finance and related technologies such as Java, Python, Solidity, cloud services and cryptography.

The firm also advertised an associate Java back‑end engineer role for its Post Trade Accounting team, also based in New York. The engineer will design and maintain high‑performance, micro‑service‑based systems using Java 11+, Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, Snowflake and cloud‑native tools, supporting global accounting and data‑pipeline operations. Both jobs follow BlackRock’s hybrid work model, expecting four days per week on site and offering standard benefits and compensation packages.
