BlackRock invests nearly $1 billion in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs

BlackRock has significantly increased its digital asset holdings, investing nearly $1 billion into Bitcoin and Ethereum through its exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) recently recorded twenty consecutive sessions of net inflows, totaling over $250 million in three weeks.

Simultaneously, the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) saw substantial activity, including a single-day purchase of $117.4 million and cumulative inflows of $687 million over a three-day period.

This institutional activity signals a structural shift in the cryptocurrency market. Analysts suggest the market is moving away from retail speculation toward a 'buy and hold' strategy dominated by long-term holders, corporate treasuries, and professional investment vehicles. The approval of spot ETFs in the United States has integrated Bitcoin into traditional financial infrastructures, allowing it to be treated as an accumulative asset similar to stocks, bonds, or gold.
