BlackRock Moves $80M from Bitcoin to Ethereum ETFs Amid ETH Price Surge

BlackRock’s asset‑management arm shifted roughly $60 million out of the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and placed more than $20 million into the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) during the week ending July 29, according to Arkham Intelligence and CryptoBriefing. The rotation marks the largest institutional vote for Ethereum this year.

Ethereum is trading near $1,850‑$1,890, just below the 100‑day EMA and a key resistance level around $1,930. On August 5, total net inflows into Ethereum spot ETFs reached $60.86 million, with BlackRock’s ETHA alone drawing $50.34 million in a single day, bringing its cumulative inflow to $11.53 billion. BlackRock’s staked‑ETH ETF (ETHB) added $4.94 million, for a cumulative $555 million. Meanwhile, whales continue to accumulate ETH, and about 40.2 million ETH (≈33 % of supply) is locked in staking, tightening market supply.

Technical indicators show a neutral RSI in the mid‑50s and bearish sentiment in derivatives, but spot buying and institutional inflows suggest growing confidence in ETH’s upside potential.
