BlackRock moves over 20,000 BTC to Coinbase in a four‑day series

BlackRock deposited 4,917 BTC to Coinbase, bringing its total Bitcoin transfers to the exchange to more than 20,400 BTC across four consecutive days. The moves are linked to the asset manager’s spot Bitcoin ETF, where regular transfers between cold storage, custodial wallets and exchange accounts are required for share creation, redemption and liquidity management.

The large inflows attracted market attention as Bitcoin traded near $61,300 and the total cryptocurrency market capitalization rose to about $2.12 trillion. Analysts note that such institutional flows are monitored for short‑term sentiment signals, but the deposits themselves do not confirm any immediate selling pressure.
