Blackstone expands perpetual investment offerings via BXPE and BXPM funds
Blackstone is expanding its presence in the growing perpetual equity market through new and existing investment vehicles. The Blackstone Private Equity Strategies Fund (BXPE), launched in early 2024, has amassed approximately $25-26 billion in net asset value by mid-2026. This fund targets accredited individual investors, providing access to diversified private equity portfolios that were traditionally reserved for institutional entities like pension funds. BXPE has seen significant inflows, contributing to a broader US perpetual equity market estimated at $100 billion.
In addition to BXPE, Blackstone has launched the Blackstone Private Markets Fund (BXPM). This multi-strategy perpetual investment product is designed to provide eligible non-US investors with a single allocation to four major asset classes: private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and private credit. The BXPM aims to simplify access to Blackstone’s diverse investment platforms, which include significant holdings in digital infrastructure, commercial properties, and global credit markets.
While these funds offer continuous access and monthly subscriptions, they also present unique characteristics, such as perpetual management fees and specific redemption caps. BXPE, for instance, reported an annualized net return of approximately 19.5% through June 2026, though it experienced a sharp deceleration in monthly returns in July 2026 following shifts in valuations for certain holdings like SpaceX.
