Blackwall reaches $2.2B valuation following $100M Series C round
Estonian web traffic security firm Blackwall has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round, bringing its valuation to $2.2 billion. This represents a fourfold increase in value since its previous investment. The funding round was led by AVP, with participation from existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures, and Tera Ventures.
Blackwall provides security tools specifically designed for web hosting, managed service, and cloud providers. Its platform manages web traffic by distinguishing between real human visitors, legitimate AI agents, and malicious bots or DDoS attacks. The company utilizes digital fingerprinting and proprietary AI models to analyze the intent and behavior of incoming requests.
Unlike competitors that interact directly with end-users, Blackwall employs a ‘channel’ model. This allows hosting providers to integrate Blackwall’s security suite—which includes DDoS protection, threat intelligence, and traffic routing—into their own branded offerings. This approach enables providers to maintain direct customer relationships while monetizing security services. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its operations across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East.
