Blackwing targets international expansion with EKN support
Swedish aircraft manufacturer Blackwing is pursuing international growth for its high-performance carbon fiber sport aircraft. Founded by Niklas Anderberg and his father Yngve, the Landskrona-based company develops ultralight planes designed to offer modern technology and speed compared to older models.
To manage the high investment costs and seasonal sales fluctuations inherent in aircraft manufacturing, Blackwing utilizes financial support from the Swedish Export Credit Agency (EKN). Working alongside SEB, EKN helps mitigate financial risks for the company. This collaboration was initiated to facilitate bank guarantees for international customers, such as a client in Denmark.
While Germany currently represents Blackwing’s largest market, the company is targeting further expansion into the United Kingdom and the United States.
