BLACKWOOD: Act 1 gameplay trailer reveals combat and progression details

Developer AttritoM7 Productions and publisher IZilla Games have released a new gameplay trailer for BLACKWOOD: Act 1, a third-person action thriller set in 2012 New York. The game follows Anton Blackwood, who manages a DVD store by day and operates as a contract killer by night.

The trailer highlights various gameplay mechanics, including ammunition management, rapid weapon switching, environmental interaction, and brutal takedowns. Players can also utilize movement abilities such as dives and slow-motion to gain advantages during combat. Between missions, the game features systems for customizing arsenals, managing health, and handling deliveries.

BLACKWOOD: Act 1 is scheduled to launch on Steam on September 16. The title is the first part of a planned three-act story; the second act is expected in March 2027, with the third following in September 2027. The developers stated the game will not launch in Early Access, and subsequent acts will be provided via free updates.
