Blackwood crime thriller launches on Steam

The criminal thriller game BLACKWOOD, developed by AttritoM7 Productions, has launched on Steam. Set in 2012 New York, the game follows Anton, a man living a double life: managing a DVD shop in Brooklyn by day and working as a hitman by night.

The gameplay emphasizes the contrast between these two lives. Players manage the retail business during the day and engage in fast-paced, violent third-person combat at night. Combat mechanics focus on limited ammunition, tactical planning, and brutal close-quarters executions rather than simple reflexes.

The release on PC includes the first of three planned acts. AttritoM7 Productions has committed to a model where players who purchase the initial release will receive the subsequent two chapters via free updates. The second act is scheduled for March 2027, with the final chapter arriving in September 2027. The studio also plans to add secondary missions, new weapons, and enemy variants throughout this period.
