Blagoevgrad hosts first symposium on child health and prevention

The first '#zdravBlagoevgrad' health symposium is being held in Blagoevgrad at the 'N. Y. Vaptsarov – 1866' community center. Organized with support from the Blagoevgrad Municipality, the forum focuses on child health prevention, early care, and maternal wellness.

Medical specialists are presenting on various topics, including the importance of prenatal care and the 'first 1000 days' of life. Obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Antoaneta Barakova discussed how prenatal care influences long-term health, while pediatrician Dr. Tsvetelina Koyumdzhiyska addressed boosting natural immunity through sleep, nutrition, and movement.

The program also covers breastfeeding support, dental hygiene, speech development, and the impact of screen time. The event includes practical workshops and a panel discussion titled 'One Team Around the Child' to facilitate dialogue between parents and experts.
