Blagovest Vangelov nominated for Bulgaria's Supreme Judicial Council
Blagovest Vangelov, a prosecutor from the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office, has been named as the fourth candidate for the prosecutor quota of the future Supreme Judicial Council (VSS). Vangelov, who previously served in the now-defunct Specialized Prosecutor's Office, was proposed by 18 colleagues from district, regional, and appellate levels.
Vangelov has over 20 years of legal experience, including 14 years within the Bulgarian prosecution system. His career includes roles in Momchilgrad, Sredets, Burgas, and as a district prosecutor in Pomorie. His nomination emphasizes his ability to manage complex legal matters and his professional conduct. Other candidates for the Prosecutor's College include Marinela Toteva, Todor Deyanov, and Dobrinka Kalcheva.
