Blai Carbonell wins the XLII Spanish Aerostation Championship
Blai Carbonell, leading the Totglobo-València Turisme flight team, has won the XLII Spanish Aerostation Championship held in Haro, La Rioja. The competition featured 25 flight teams and coincided with the XXVI International Regatta ‘Haro, Capital of La Rioja’.
Despite variable wind conditions that limited the event to three of the four planned flights, Carbonell secured first place in the final flight. This victory earns him direct qualification for the European Championship to be held in Mallorca in October 2027. This marks his second national title, with his previous win occurring in 2018.
The podium was completed by Ricardo Aracil from Mallorca and Óscar Portillo from Alicante. Additionally, Carbonell, Aracil, and La Rioja's Iván Ayala will join the national team to compete in the XXVI World Championship in Poland this coming September.
