Blake Pixton jailed until 2027 for breaching court orders
Blake Pixton, 27, will remain in prison until 2027 following his failure to comply with court orders at Armidale Local Court. Pixton was originally under community corrections orders related to three home break-in charges.
Judge Richardson ruled that Pixton had been non-compliant with several conditions, including performing community service work and seeking drug rehabilitation. While Pixton’s solicitor, Millicent Maund, argued that he had sought a place at Freeman House and intended to engage in rehabilitation, the judge noted a lack of formal confirmation or medical evidence to support claims of a medical episode preventing compliance.
Judge Richardson stated that Pixton had been given multiple opportunities to comply but failed to do so, remarking, “It is his call, he can spend his life in jail or face up to the fact people are trying to get him help.”
