Blake Proehl releases debut country EP ‘Hearts Don’t Break’

Rising country music artist Blake Proehl has released his debut six-track EP, ‘Hearts Don’t Break’, via MCA Nashville. The project follows a significant period of growth for the artist, who recently surpassed 1 million monthly listeners and recorded over 25.6 million global streams.

Proehl’s transition to music follows a career in professional football. A former wide receiver, he was training with the Minnesota Vikings when a severe knee injury required multiple surgeries and a 16-month recovery period. During this time, he began songwriting as a way to process his career shift.

The EP features a mix of high-energy tracks and emotional storytelling, including the notable song ‘Hearts Don’t Break Like That’.
